Our band was formed in 2010 by Jerry Cooper (19) of Enderby, Leicester. Jerry went to Lutterworth College in South Leicestershire and studied Business, Media, ICT and Music at AS Level. But failed to gain the correct qualifications to stay on for A Levels. With his only success being in music getting a B. Jerry decided to leave school and seek a career within the music industry. He then enroled in a level three course in 'performing musician' at Leicester College which he later passed. Whilst at Leicester College he met who was to be his future band members, Tom Danson (Base), Liam Sudford (Dums) and Noel Starie (lead vocal), with Jerry as lead guitarist.
The Innocent Silence was born, with their first performance at a quaint, and brilliant country pub in South Leicestershire called The Chequers, followed by gigs at many venues around Leicester including at The Musician. The band's lead singer Noel Starie had revealed they had been invited to play at DeMontfort University's Summer Sundae in 2011, where they went down a storm and were quickly snapped up by Indie specialist record label Fiction Records. Fiction Records currently manage artists such as White Lies, Snow Patrol, Elbow, and The Maccabees. The lads are just like any other teenagers, enjoy playing many sports especially Liam who was a rejected trialist at Arsenal at the age of 15. They also enjoy going to many music gigs themselves, recently having been to Reading Festival with Tom declaring that his highlight of that festival was Frank Turner. The band are yet to release an album, but with the help of Fiction Records are hoping to release one in the not too distant future.
